F2 282 Ride with Tushingham Bolt 5.5m and 36 fin.

With no foil to replace my broken one I have no option other than to fin which I havent done since November 5th last year! The day didn’t start great with only lightish winds and rain so I was tempted to head over to Ixworth to pick up my replacement foil after doing my exercises but we had a surprise visit from Jay and Maeva so had an hour with them as the southerly breeze increased to 20 knots so I decided to head to Squiz Lanne at The Manor end to check it out despite the gloom! I measured 23 knnots on the beach so set up the 115 lt and rigged 5.5 which turned out to be a mistake as I was underpowdered for more of the session with the wind only picking up strong much later in the afternoon! In the end I had 4 runs out to Wadgate in a very bumpy sea with the wind very up and down and quickly remembered how crap fin sailing cann be, such hard work, not fun laying in the big sea waiting for a gust to waterstart! The wind then turned wsw a fraction off so called it a day just as Al Wiz decided to head out! I must get my new foil quickly as cant face another rfin anytime soon especially in a bumpy southerly!
Home to shower and get changed and was surprised when Mag still had Maeva for another bonus couple of hours:)
